ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday issued code of conduct for polling stations staff, Geo News reported.
ECP has directed the polling staff not to follow the orders of anyone except the presiding officers.
ECP further asks the staff for not showing their affiliation with any political party besides carrying or placing banner or flag of any party. It also advises the staff to be polite with the voters.
Campaign for elections 2013 through electronic‚ print media as well as public meetings will end at midnight on Thursday, 36 hours before the polling starts.
According to the Election Commission any violation of the deadline will warrant disqualification‚ a fine up to one hundred thousand rupees or withholding of results by the returning officers.
