Naudero: A shutter down strike was observed in Larkana, Naundero and other areas of rural Sindh on the call of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) against alleged poll rigging during general elections 2013.
All main shopping centers and bazaars were closed and public transport remained off road in many towns.
PML-F activists took out a large rally in Larkana led by Haji Muhammad Ali Shaikh, Gulfam Sangi, Munwar Shaikh, Arib Abbasi, Dost Muhammad Chandio and others.
Addressing the rally, they accused the PPP of selling interest of Sindh. They claimed the PPP has won the election in Sindh by gerrymandering and corrupt practices. They demanded re-election in whole Sindh province.
They demanded of the Chief Commission Commissioner to get verified the thumb impressions of the voters through NADRA so that truth may prevail.
Complete strike was also observed here in Tando Adam. All markets and trade centers in Tando Adam and adjoining areas remained shut, while public transporters did not ply their vehicles on inter-city routes, causing problems for commuters.
The Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Mirpurkhas cancelled the scheduled paper of Intermediate exam due to the strike.
Protestors here took to streets and burnt tyres on Station Road.(PPI)
