NICL scam: FIA arrests absconder Aamir Hussain

KARACHI: Aamir Hussain , a key accused in the National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) multi billion scam, was arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Karachi, Geo News reported Thursday.

According to FIA Sindh Director Muhammad Malik, Hussain was taken into custody in Karachi, adding that the agency is in contact with the Interpol to arrest other absconders including Ameen Qasim Dada and Khalid Anwer.

The sources revealed that arrested accused Hussain was allegedly involved in irregularities in acquiring lands, while Pakistan People’s Party’s veteran leader and former Commerce Minister Makhdoom Amin Fahim and former secretary trade Suleman Ghani were on bail in the NICL case.
