LAHORE: A meeting of the parliamentary committee of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Punjab came to an end without evolving consensus on the nominations of Chief Minister (CM), Speaker, Deputy Speaker for Punjab Assembly, Geo News reported Friday.

The parliamentary committee left the decision to choose the party’s nominations for Punjab Assembly to its party chief Imran Khan.

PTI nominated opposition leader for Punjab Assembly Mehmood ur Rasheed chaired the parliamentary committee’s meeting.

26 MPAs-elect attended the meeting including elected members on women and minorities reserved seats. The MPAs-elect were also briefed about party’s contacts with other political parties in the Punjab Assembly.

A resolution to felicitate Pervez Khattak to become Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister was also passed in the meeting.

The parliamentary committees also left a decision to Imran Khan to give deputy opposition leader post to the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q) in the house.
