JI Shura rejects Munawar Hasan’s resignation

LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Shura rejected resignation of its Ameer Syed Munawar Hassan who decided to relinquish the post after party’s failure in recently held general election, sources said on Saturday.

The sources said that Hasan presented his resignation to the Shura but he was asked to continue the job. The Shura said that not only the organization but establishment and other factors also played role in JI’s election failure.
