Former MNA gets one-year jail term in fake degree case

SAHIWAL: A district and sessions judge on Monday awarded one year imprisonment with Rs20,000 fine to former MNA Salman Mohsin Gilani for possessing a fake degree.

The former MNA was arrested from the court room after Judge Abid Hussain Qureshi announced the sentence.

Gilani was shifted to Central Jail after the verdict was announced. The former lawmaker said that he would file appeal against the punishment.
