RAJAPAN: Police have swung into action only after a news on Geo News about a man being meted out an inhuman punishment by a tribal court.
The police arrested the tribal court chief and his brother, recovering the victim. The tribal court had announced a bizarre test for Noor Hasan to prove his innocence against murder charges.
Hasan was forced to sit in a 10-feet deep crater full of water and he had to sit their alive, until a man walked 60 steps, to prove his innocence.
According to reports, Hasan could not hold his breath after 52 steps were counted outside the crater.
The tribal court declared him guilty and announced that the victim would give two women from his family in marriage to the rival party or Rs1 million.
The court decree said Hasan would be murdered if he failed in implementing its orders.
The police arrested the court chief Mir Hazara and his brother and recovered Noor Hasan from Hajipur area only after Geo News broadcast the story.
The police lodged an FIR against six people on behalf of Noor Hasan.
