LAHORE: Punjab government, despite its efforts, has failed to control measles in the province as the death toll from the deadly disease has reached 187, Geo News reported.
On Thursday, two more children died of measles, raising the death toll to 187 in Punjab.
As per reports, one-year-old Gulfam, from Shaikhupura, died in Children Hospital Lahore, while two months Allahnoor died in Allied Hospital, Faisalabad.
According to Punjab Health Department, 85 out of 187 children have been killed by the measles in Lahore.
Meanwhile, during last 24 hours 102 new cases have been reported in the province including 12 in Lahore alone.
