PESHAWAR: Presidential candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Justice retired Wajeehuddin Monday said that joint presidential candidate could be fielded if Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) wouldn't have boycotted the polls, Geo News reported.
Talking to media men flanked by leaders of Jamat-e-Islami (JI), Justice Wajeehuddin said that making presidential polls controversial was pitiful.
He said that decision of boycotting presidential poll of PPP, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and Awami National Party (ANP) was right, however these parties should not restrict their members to cast votes.
He further said that 700 Member of Parliament should listen to their conscience before casting the votes, adding that the joint candidate for President slot could be fielded if Pakistan Peoples Party would not have boycotted the poll.
