LAHORE: A petition was filed in the Lahore High Court on Saturday, challenging Local Government (LG) bill which envisage non-party basis election in the province.
The petitioner, Ishtiaq Chaudhary Advocate, contended that conducting LG elections on non-party basis was against the Constitution, which he said would result in corruption and irregularities.
