KARACHI: The Supreme Court of Pakistan will resume hearing of Karachi law and order case on Wednesday.

A five-judge bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry will take up the case.

The court has attached a case pertaining to extra ordinary protocol to former prime minister Rajaz Pervez Ashraf, Qaim Ali Shah, Awais Muzaffar and Rehman Malik, with the Karachi law and order case.

Notices have also been issued to aforesaid personalities along with Sindh Chief Secretary , Director General Sindh Rangers, Inspector General of Sindh Police and Sindh Election Commission Secretary.

Former premier Ashraf had approved extra ordinary perks and privileges for him and his cabinet members during the last days of his tenure prompting the chief justice to take suo moto notice.

Hearing into a case regarding allegations of land grabbing against Local Government Minister Awais Muzaffar would also be resumed on Wednesday.
