Senate, NA opposition leaders’ farewell dinner to president tonight

ISLAMABAD: Senate and National Assembly opposition leaders will host a farewell dinner in honour of President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday night here, Geo News reported.

Sources said that all members of various oppostion parties in parliament except Muttahida Qaumi Movemnet (MQM) have been invited to this farewell dinner hosted by NA opposition leader Syed Khurshid Shah and Senate opposition leader Senator Aitzaz Ahsan.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf, Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan Muslim League-Q, Balochistan National Party-Awami and Awami National Party have been extended invitations to this dinner, sources said.

Former PPP prime ministers, Yousuf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervaiz Ashraf have also been ignored in this connection.
