Former MQM MPA Nadeem Hashmi arrested

KARACHI: Police on late Tuesday night arrested former Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) member Sindh Assembly Nadeem Hashmi from North Nazimabad, Geo News reported.

Police said cases were registered against Nadeem Hashmi under 302 attempt to murder, 397 snatching official arms and 7 ATA of Anti-Terrorism act.

Hashmi was arrested from his house in Nazimabad late Tuesday night.

Nadeem Hashmi is accused of firing on a police mobile in Haidri area in which two policemen were killed on Tuesday.
