Three security men martyred in firing at Panjgur checkpost

QUETTA: At least three security men were martyred in firing at the Panjgur check post on Saturday here, Geo News reported.

FC sources said that the firing incident occurred at a place called Prom in Panjgur area, where three security men lost their lives and two sustained injuries as some unknown persons opened volley of fires at the check post manned by them.

The security men who were martyred were identified as Naik Mukhtar, Sipahi Awal Khan and Lance Naik Tasawur. The bodies were shifted to the local hospital while the injured will soon be transferred to Combined Military Hospital, Quetta due to their serious condition.

Security forces cordoned off the area after the incident and chased the culprit. During exchange of fire, one attacker was also killed while arms were also seized.

Firing continued until the last reports.
