Petition challenging Shahid Hayat’s appointment as ADIG fifled in SHC

KARACHI: The appointment of Shahid Hayat as Additional Inspector General of police has been challenged in the Sindh High Court on Monday here, Geo News reported.

Barrister Zamir Ghomro has filed the petition on behalf of Sindh senior police officials including DIG Bashir Memon, DIG Sanaullah Abbasi, DIG Amir Sheikh, DIG Azhar Rashid and DIG A.D. Khawaja making the Sindh Chief Secretary and Sindh IG as respondents.

The petitioners have made a plea that a junior officer for the first time superseding seniors has been made Additional IG in the disciplined force.
