KARACHI: The anti terrorism court in Karachi on Monday approved seven-day remand of accused Javed Baloch, ex-station house officer (SHO) Baghdadi, in the Arshad Pappu murder case, Geo News reported.
Police and Rangers officials had disclosed the arrest of Javed Baloch in a joint press conference here on Sunday.
SSP City Faisal Bashir Memon said the former SHO was arrested during a joint action of Police and Rangers, following the intelligence information.
The accused was brought in an armoured vehicle and was presented in the ATC under tight security.
The court has handed over the accused in police custody on one-week physical remand.
Javed Baloch is believed to be involved in Arshad Pappu’s murder.
Also, the court has postponed the decision on MNA Shahjahan Baloch’s bail petition till October 7.
