KARACHI: Police and Rangers conducting their separate operations in different parts of the city have taken 42 suspects into custody on Sunday here, Geo News reported.
Rangers went on raiding Pathan Colony in Orange Town and Gulshan-e-Boner in Landhi, while the police conducted their targeted operation at Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Mahmoodabad and Frontier Colony.
Rangers’ sources said that the targeted operation was carried on a tip-off relating to the presence of criminals in Pathan Colony and 12 persons including 8 foreigners involved in numerous crimes were rounded up, while over 30 weapons of different types besides narcotics were recovered from them. Besides, Rangers conducting targeted operation at Gulshan-e-Boner in Landhi also hauled up 15 suspects.
On the other hand, police arrested 15 persons including one target killer during their operations at Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Mahmoodabad and Frontier Colony.
Police and Rangers in a joint operation in Lyari area claimed to have killed two accused of Lyari gang war belonging to Baba Ladla and Wasiullah Lakho groups in encounter.
