ISLAMABAD: The court has turned down the request for granting remand of the former president Pervez Musharraf without presenting him in the court in Abdul Rasheed Ghazi murder case on Friday here, Geo News reported.

The police had filed a petition in the court of Judicial Magistrate praying for the grant of remand of Musharraf without presenting him in the court for security reasons.

The court rejecting the request ordered the police to ensure Musharraf’s presence in the court.

It may be recalled that a case relating to the murder of Abdul Rasheed Ghazi was registered against the former president Pervez Musharraf on September 2. Aamir Nadeem Tabish has been appointed as the public prosecutor in Abdul Rasheed Ghazi murder case. He is also working as the public prosecutor in judges’ detention case.
