Lahore: Ticket checker tortured to death by students sans ticket

LAHORE: A ticket checker was allegedly tortured to death by four students travelling in a train without tickets on Saturday here, Geo News reported.

Police said that four students of Sheikhupura Commerce College were traveling to Lahore by train without tickets and when the ticket checker asked them to show the tickets they started quarreling with him and exchanged heated words.

Later at the railway station, the ticket checker called for the police, but meanwhile students allegedly attacked and tortured the ticket checker, who upon reaching the police station died.

Police after registering a case have arrested one of the students, while the other three absconded.
