MQM contacts PTI, PML-N over local bodies elections

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has contacted Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) in Sindh over local bodies elections, sources said.

According to the sources, MQM, PML-F, PML-N, PTI would submit a requisition to call a Sindh Assembly session.

MQM is of the view that a debate should be conducted in the assembly over Local Government Amendment Ordinance.

Sources said that MQM has invited PTI, PML-N and PML-F to jointly submit the requisition in this regard.
