People make a beeline forAitzaz’s burial site

HANGU: People are making a beeline for the final resting place of the epitome of great valour, Aitzaz Hassan, a teenager who embraced martyrdom by pre-empting a suicide attack on his school.

The example of pure and selfless courage set by the student of class 9th has not only drawn enormous amount of praise from every part of Pakistan but also from across the globe.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawz Sharif and the Army Chief General Raheel Sharif also paid glowing tributes to the young savior.

On January 6, Aitzaz Hassan left home for his alma mater, Ibrahim Zai High School, where he spotted the man with explosives strapped to his body. Hassan ran up to him and grabbed the man who denoted the explosives before reaching the target – the school building where dozens of students had gathered for a morning assembly.

Aitzaz Hassan laid down the ultimate sacrifice of his life to save several students and others present inside the school premises.
