Grenade attack kills one, injures 2 in Karachi

KARACHI: One person lost his life while two others sustained injuries when a car came under grenade attack near University of Karachi on Tuesday night.

According to sources, unknown men hurled a hand grenade on a car on University Road near Karachi University’s Silver Jubilee Gate, killing a man and injuring two others.

The injured were shifted to a hospital at Stadium Road, said police.

Unconfirmed reports say that the man killed in the attack was Wajahat Hussain Naqvi - Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) candidate for the upcoming local government election.
