Two dacoits killed in Lahore police encounter

LAHORE: Police claimed to have killed two dacoits during exchange of fire in Shadbagh area of the city, Geo News reported.

According to police, on a tip off they raided a house where the dacoits opened fire on the law enforcers. They said that two dacoits identified as Gulfam and Shoib were killed when the police returned fire while another suspect managed to flee.

The police said that both the men were involved in various crimes including robberies, murders and kidnapping for ransom. Their bodies have been shifted to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities.
