KARACHI: Aleemuddin, Director of Orangi Pilot Project, was injured and taken to a hospital after unknown people hurled cracker on his vehicle in Qasba Colony area of the city.

Police and the Bomb Disposal Squad rushed to the spot after an explosion was reported in the area. Police said that a blast took place in Aleemuddin’s vehicle in Qasba Colony. However, the injured director said that it was a cracker attack.

According to reports, his condition was out of danger. On March 13 last year, unknown gunmen had shot dead Orangi Pilot Project director Parveen Rehman in the city.
