Karachi Rangers operation: Accused injured in retaliatory firing

KARACHI: An injured accused in retaliatory firing by the Rangers was arrested, when some armed persons opened fire on the forces having laid siege during targeted operation at Ilyas Goth in Liaquatabad area here on Sunday.

The injured arrested attacker has been identified as Rashid from whom weapon was recovered, while his other accomplices managed to flee away from the scene.

Rangers’ spokesman said that the operation was being conducted by a strong contingent of 300 personnel on a tip-off that some criminals were present in the area and a number of suspected persons have already been taken into custody.
