Earth Hour: Geo joins WWF to show love for mother earth

KARACHI: Geo News and World Wildlife Fund (WWF) teamed up to observe Earth Hour across Pakistan on Saturday night.

The Earth Hour was observed from 8:30 to 9:30 PM on Saturday to underscore the importance and need for the safety of mother earth and its environment.

In Karachi, additional lights were turned off of many important buildings and places across Karachi including Sindh Assembly, Port Grand and Nine-Zero.

Similarly, additional lights were also put out at the Parliament House and Banazir Bhutto International Airport.

Balochistan Assembly in Quetta, Punjab Assembly in Lahore and Peshawar Airport also observed the Earth Hour in the similar fashion.

Earth showers its indiscriminate love to all the living beings and it is our responsibility to do whatever we can to safeguard the mother land wherever we are.
