PM chairs meeting on TTP talks, security

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif chaired a high-level meeting on the country’s security

Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Army Chief, General Raheel Sharif, DG ISI, Lt. General Zahirul Islam and Special Assistant to the prime minister, Tariq Fatemi are attending the meeting being held at the PM House here.

Sources said that DG ISI briefed the prime minister about the internal and border security situation, while interior ministry apprised about the release of non-combatant prisoners of TTP.

During the meeting the elections in neighbouring Afghanistan and the situation after NATO forces withdrawal also came under discussion.
