Three prisoners escape from police lockup in Karachi

KARACHI: Three alleged robbers escaped from a lockup in Ibrahim Hyderi Police Station in the early hours of Wednesday.

The accused identified as Sultan, Imran and Nazir were held during a robbery on April 19 and they were to be produced before a judge today.

There was no account on how the detainees managed to escape from the police lockup so far.

Police said they had lodged a case against an ASI and a constable for disregard of duty. The police said that the search was on to arrest the accused.
