Pak army soldier martyred in cross-border firing in Bajaur

RAWALPINDI: A soldier of Pakistan Army was martyred in cross-border firing in Bajaur Agency, Geo News reported.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the soldier embraced Shahadat (martyrdom) in the cross-border firing at Pak-Afghan border in the morning today (Sunday).

AFP adds: The military said in a statement the incident happened at 11:45.

"We don’t have more information yet. We can only confirm that a security official was killed because of firing across the border in Bajaur region," said a senior military official when contacted for details.
