ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has claimed that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) collected Rs1,745 billion during the first 10 months of the current fiscal year, Geo News reported.
Talking to media persons here Saturday, Ishaq Dar said 15 pc increase has been witnessed in the revenue collection during the current fiscal year as compared to last year.
The minister said GDP growth rate is on the rise while inflation is on the decline due to what he described as the prudent policies of the government.
He said inflation during the first 10 months of this financial year stood at 8.7 pc and hoped that it will come down to five-six per cent. He said IMF has also recognised improvement in balance of payment position.
