ISLAMABAD: Caravans of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from different parts of the country have been converging at the D-Chowk of Pakistan’s capital to attend a rally against alleged rigging in last year general election.
According to our correspondents, people from Multan, Mandi Bahauddin, Muzaffarabad, Chaman and other cities were leaving for Islamabad to attend the rally to be addressed by cricket-star turned politician Imran Khan.
A caravan of PTI workers led by local leader Ijaz Janjua left Multan to attend the rally. Children and women were also accompanying the male PTI activists.
A convoy of 30 vehicles carrying PTI workers left Mandi Bahauddin while caravans from Lahore and other cities which converged in Gujranwala are now proceeding to Islamabad.
Protest demonstrations were also held in Muzaffarabad against the alleged rigging and inflation in the country.
