FAISALABAD: Two dacoits were killed in an alleged police encounter in Faisalabad during a robbery attempt, Geo News reported on Monday.

According to the police, two dacoits were trying to snatch a car from a citizen on Canal Road in Faisalabad when they were spotted by the police.

They tried to flee from the site and police personnel chased them until Abdullah Garden where an encounter took place. Resultantly, both the dacoits were killed during an exchange of fire.

Police took the bodies into their custody and shifted them to the hospital for post mortem and identification. The identity of the armed robbers could not be ascertained until the last report was filed.
