ISLAMABAD: Former information minister Javed Jabbar criticized private members of the Pakistan Electronic Media Authority (PEMRA) for what he said staging a ‘tamasha’ (commotion).
He said that the private members of the watchdog had openly violated PEMRA ordinance and the government could sack them for the illegal act.
He said that vital decisions could not be taken if the quorum is not complete.
Jabbar said that as to why the PEMRA failed to notice propaganda being carried out against Geo by other channels. He asked whether it was right to disrupt broadcast through exerting pressure on cable operators
