KARACHI: Sindh High Court on Friday issued a stay order against a private news channel involved in using ‘Zara Sochiye’ trademark illegally, Geo News reported.

It may be noted here that ‘Zara Sochiye’ is a registered trademark of Geo TV and under the law all rights are reserved in the name of Geo group, therefore, no-one person/organisation could use this.

However, while harming the image of ‘Zara Sochiye’, a private news channel used this trademark in several of its programmes illegally.

Over this, legal counsel of Geo group, Ali and Associates, filed civil case in the SHC and got a stay order, which restricts the private news channel for using Zara Sochiye trademark over its TV channel, print media and online editions.
