KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has appreciated the overall achievements of the Karachi targeted operation and said that it was because of the spirit and commitment of Sindh Police and Rangers that law and order has been improved.

Chairing law and order meeting here on Saturday the Chief Minister cleared the position about recent changes in the police team engaged in the operation and said that ex Additional IGP Karachi Shahid Hayat was transferred in compliance of the Court’s orders and assured that present team will continue the operation against criminals without any interference.

Sindh Minister for Information Sharjeel Enam Memon Home Secretary Dr. Niaz Abassi DG Rangers Sindh Rizwan Akhtar, IG Police Sindh Iqbal Mehmood and other senior government officials attended the meeting.

The Chief Minister said that the net result of the operation would depend on the convictions of the arrested criminals by the courts.

He constituted three members committee comprising Provincial Secretaries of Home and Law and Advocate General of Sindh to coordinate and convince the judiciary to expedite the cases challaned under the targeted operation.
