Police arrest Gullu Butt for vandalism at MQI secretariat.

LAHORE: Gullu Butt the man that TV news cameras caught damaging a number of vehicles outside the Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) secretariat in Model Town has been arrested for vandalism.

Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif having seen Butt in news footage had ordered for his immediate arrest.

Caught on Camera
On Tuesday, TV cameras had captured a man damaging vehicles in Model Town Lahore in the presence of police. The man was later identified as Gullu Butt alias Sher-i-Lahore, known to be a police tout in Model Town.

According to CCPO Chaudhary Shafeeq Gujjar, Gullu Butt was arrested on Tuesday night.

Police Action
Police on Tuesday carried out an anti-encroachment drive to remove the barriers outside MQI secretariat and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Tahirul Qadri's Lahore residence.
