Gunmen kill ASWJ leader in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: Unknown gunmen shot dead Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) leader Maulana Izharul Haq Farooqui in Khayaban-e-Sir Syed area of the garrison city on Tuesday.

Sources said that Farooqui was on his way home on a motorbike when the gunmen sprayed him with bullets and managed to flee.

A spokesman for the ASWJ condemned the murder and demanded of the government to arrest the killers.
