ISLAMABAD: Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) have arrested 500 suspects across the country as an attempt to pre-empt possible counter attack from terrorists in the backdrop of the ongoing military operation in North Waziristan.

According to sources, most of the terrorists have affiliation with outlawed outfits.

The sources further said that 300 suspects were taken into custody from Bahawalpur and its adjacent areas.

Similarly, 150 suspects were netted from Balochistan province and around 100 from Sindh including Karachi.

Those arrested were reportedly involved in acts of terror but managed to escape from the grips of law.
