ISLAMABAD: The Senate on Monday unanimously adopted a resolution condemning the Indian brutalities against people of Occupied Kashmir and asked the government of Pakistan to continue support the Kashmiris and international community to take note of the oppression.

The resolution was moved by Leader of the Opposition in Senate Wasim Sasjjd that was also supported by the ruling benches and unanimously passed by the House. This House strongly condemns the Indian brutalities which have resulted into the martyrdom of more than a hundred Kashmiri youth, men and women and children in recent days, says the resolution.

The House called upon the government of Pakistan to raise the issue of violation of basic human rights in Indian Occupied Kashmir in all international for a including the United Nations.Through the resolution, the Senate also urged the international community to take note of the brutalities in Occupied Kashmir and prevail upon India to stop its repression forthwith.

This House further calls upon the Government of Pakistan to continue its support for the right of self-determination of people of Kashmir as well as diplomatic and moral struggle for freedom struggle, says the resolution.

Later, the Leader of the House in Senate Nayyer Hussain Bokhari said the government strongly condemns the Indian brutalities in Kashmir and told the international community and human rights organizations that resolution of Kashmir issue is inevitable to establish peace in the region.

He said the government as well as the people of Pakistan have been extending their moral support to the people of Kashmir confronted with the Indian brutalities for last 63 years. Later, the House adopted the resolution unanimously.
