KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Babar Ghauri on Monday said his party did not want to derail democracy, saying those who were not showing flexibility will be responsible for consequences.

Talking to newsmen here, MQM leader Babar Ghauri said his party leadership would contact Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahir ul Qadri and Awami Muslim League (AML) leader Sheikh Rasheed to discuss the current political situation.

Responding to a question, Mr. Ghauri said it is important to understand how Afzal Khan came out of nowhere in the current situation and which elements were behind his launch?

He called for registration of the case of Lahore’s Model Town tragedy.
