Mukesh Kumar stripped of Excise and Taxation ministry

KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh on Sunday removed Mukesh Kumar Chawla as the provincial minister for Excise and Taxation and handed over the additional charge to Sindh Minister for Wildlife and Forests, Engineer Gianchand.

The notification in this regard was issued on Sunday. Mukesh Kumar Chawla still retains the portfolio of Information, Science & Technology Department.

According to sources, the ministry was taken back because the (Pakistan Peoples Party) PPP leadership is unhappy with Mukesh Kumar Chawla.

Chawla has served as the provincial excise and taxation minister for the last 6 years.
