LAHORE: The investigating team has found the diary written by the under training female CSP officer Nabiha Chaudhry, who mysteriously died in her hostel room of Audit and Accounts Training Institute in Lahore on Wednesday night.
According to the sources, the content in the diary revealed that Nabiha had attempted suicide after she failed to contact a friend named Umar and alleged that he had deceived her.
Nabiha wrote in her diary that Umar was not attending her calls and that she was disgusted with her life. She had bought petrol with someone’s help and attempted suicide.
The diary has been sent to the forensic laboratory for examination and to ascertain if it was written by Nabiha herself.
Also, the investigators confiscated Nabiha’s mobile phone to trace Umar and get access to him.
It may be mentioned that police declared her death as ‘suicide’ while her family ruled out the claim.
Nabiha’s room was locked from inside and police found a note and a petrol bottle inside her room. Police stated that the under training officer, according to the note, wanted to contact a person via phone, however, it was unattended.
Police informed the family of Nabiha, resident of Karachi, and shifted the body for autopsy.
Meanwhile, the mother and sister of Nabiha have ruled out suicide and alleged that CSS Academy was responsible for her death and they would lodge a case against it.
Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of the incident.
