Young widow raped and shot, for refusing marriage proposal

RAHIM YAR KHAN: When the young widow left to pick cotton from the fields, she did not imagine the price she would have to pay for refusing a marriage proposal.

The 25 year old, was raped. Her rapists then proceeded to shave her head and then shot her in the leg, leaving her behind in the fields, to die.

Luckily, she was rescued and admitted to the rural health center for treatment.
According to the police, the young widow refused a marriage proposal. The local influential upon facing rejection, found the woman in the fields and kidnapped her. She was later raped, shot and dumped in the fields.

Doctors at the rural health center confirmed that the woman was raped, and have sent samples for further testing to the laboratory.

Police is conducting raids for the three accused, but as yet no arrests have been made.
