KARACHI: Muttahid Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Wasim Akhtar Wednesday said bad governance in Sindh has crossed all limits and termed the emphasize on merit by the provincial Chief Minister a façade.
Addressing a press conference here at Lal Qila ground, Wasim Akhtar alleged that appointments were being made without merit, regretting ‘thieves and robbers’ were being inducted in police department.
“All the People’s Party representatives were recruiting their own people,” he maintained, adding although seventy-six candidates from Hyderabad and Karachi had qualified their tests, yet they were not offered jobs.
The MQM leader further said that those who clear the tests for induction in Health Department are not issued appointment letters, adding on one occasion the Secretary Education had himself admitted billions of irregularities.
