MQM activist gunned down in Karachi

KARACHI: Unknown gunmen shot dead Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) activist in Chanesar Goth, Karachi, Geo News reported.

According to MQM statement issued here, Qadir Bux Laasi was standing outside the residence of deceased Noman Laasi with mourners when armed men opened fire, killing him instantly. Four other people sustained injuries in the firing.

Meanwhile, MQM Chief Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned murder of Laasi and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.

Altaf Hussain said Chanesar Goth has become second Lyari and it seemed criminals are backed some people of the ruling party.
