SYDNEY: All-rounder Shahid Afridi said on Sunday that Pakistan team’s preparations were not what they should have been.

According to Afridi if fast bowlers' did not meet expectations there should be no reservations in playing Yasir Shah. The all-rounder praised the atmosphere in the dressing room stating that it would be beneficial in the team’s play.

Afridi further said he wanted to cross the 8,000 runs and 400 wickets milestone for his career during the World Cup.

Shoaib Maqsood said it was a matter of great honour for him to be compared to Inzamam-ul-Haq. He added that despite losses to New Zealand, Pakistan would perform well in the World Cup.

Ahmed Shahzad said the team had learnt several lessons from the losses and knew the importance of the India match.
