Bail granted to fashion model in murder case

LAHORE: Fashion Model Tooba was granted bail on Thursday by the Lahore High Court in the murder case of cameraman Yousuf Khokar. However since the model is also involved in the murder trial of another fashion model Abeera, she has not been released from custody.

Tooba’s lawyer argued before the court, that his client was falsely implicated in Khokar’s murder case adding that police has not been able to present any concrete evidence of her involvement. The counsel also questioned the inconsistencies found in the postmortem report.

While the government prosecutor argued that Tooba not be granted bail, the high court granted the model post-arrest bail. Since Tooba is also an accused in the murder trial of fashion model Abeera, she will not be released from police custody.
