New Delhi: Police on Tuesday arrested Delhi Law Minister Jitender Singh Tunar on the charges of submitting fake degree during election for Delhi Assembly, Indian media reported.
The minister, who belongs to Aam Admi Party (AAP), was shifted to local police station where he was being questioned.
Sanjay Singh, a leader of AAP, criticized the central government of Narenda Modi for arresting the Delhi Law Minister without any notice or prior information.
He was quoted as saying that the university has declared Tunar’s degree “fine”.
