Murder convict hanged in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: One more death row prisoner was hanged in District Jail on Thursday morning.

Shahid Shafiq, a resident of Faisalabad, was convicted of murder which he committed over a domestic dispute in 1996.

The prisoner was shifted to Faisalabad District Jail from Gujranwal after President Mamnoon Hussain rejected his appeal for clemency.

The body was handed over to relatives after medico-legal formalities.
