KARACHI: Due to rain in parts of Balochistan over the past few days, water level has started going up in Hub Dam, the major source of water for Karachi.

According to Karachi Water and Sewerage Board, Karachi’s district Central and West were facing 100 million gallon water shortage owing to acute dearth in the Hum Dam, however, due to rain in parts of Balochistan, water has crossed the dead level.

According to KWSB spokesman, water supply from Hub Dam will resume after it reaches at a particular level. Following this, supply in the city will also improve.
